The Spring/Summer 2026 collection blended polished ease, boho-chic revival, and timeless American sportswear for a modern global woman.

There was a distinct lightness in the air at New York Fashion Week as Michael Kors unveiled his Spring/Summer 2026 collection on September 11, returning to Manhattan’s Terminal Warehouse with a show that translated travel, escapism, and classic American sportswear into a wardrobe of effortless sophistication.
“I’m the first person to admit that Lance [Le Pere, his husband] and I are travel-addicted. Particularly lately, when the world feels upside down and frenetic. Mrs. Vreeland was right—the eye has to travel,” Kors remarked ahead of the show. His summer of global journeys, from South Africa to Sicily, Marrakech to California, inspired a palette of warm neutrals—camel, ivory, soft pink, muted gray—and a balance of natural ease with elevated indulgence.
Fluidity defined the silhouettes: draped dresses, voluminous trousers, and cocooning chiffon-wool two-piece sets that transitioned seamlessly from day to evening. Pareos and caftans nodded to photographs of Peter Beard and Lauren Hutton, while shimmering paillette dresses with sheer overlays delivered glamour without rigidity. Accessories underscored the collection’s edge—oversized pendant necklaces and even wallets worn as pendants offered a playful rethinking of essentials.
Kors insisted on inclusivity in casting: “This collection is sensual, not shrink-wrap sexy. It’s women of all ages, all sizes—and sophisticated. It’s not a dirty word.” His commitment was visible both on the runway, with Alex Consani, Anok Yai, and Frankie Rayder closing the show, and in the audience, where Gwyneth Paltrow, Olivia Wilde, Ariana DeBose, and Suki Waterhouse joined loyal customers eager to preview the season’s pieces.
Ultimately, the collection felt distinctly Kors: modern yet timeless, bohemian yet polished. By softening structure in favor of drape and movement, Michael Kors delivered a wardrobe that celebrates laid-back glamour and ensures longevity—a reflection of fashion not as fleeting trend, but as a lived-in, global elegance.
