The Geneva-based jeweler and watchmaker Chopard chose New York City as the stage for the unveiling of its first high jewelry collection from the Ice Cube line, marking a milestone in the maison’s creative journey. Presented against the vibrant backdrop of New York Fashion Week, the new capsule merges architectural precision, sustainable craftsmanship, and Chopard’s characteristic elegance.

“New York is full of contrasts—structured but full of life, classic yet always evolving. It is a perfect match for our Ice Cube collection,” noted Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director. “The city’s skyline and energy are reflected in the design of Ice Cube. It is the ideal place to reveal a collection that is bold, modern, and full of character.”

To celebrate, the maison hosted an intimate cocktail party on Sunday night at The Centurion New York, gathering friends of the brand including Ashley Graham, Emily Ratajkowski, Pom Klementieff, and Jodie Turner-Smith.

A Sustainable Vision

The capsule of eight high jewelry pieces is crafted entirely in 18-karat ethical gold, a cornerstone of Chopard’s Journey to Sustainable Luxury initiative launched in 2018. “All the gold we use is 100 percent ethical, and we master every stage of jewelry making in-house, starting from our own gold foundry in Switzerland,” Scheufele emphasized.

Expanding the Ice Cube universe represents, in her words, “a beautiful evolution—a way to speak to a younger generation that values fashion and individuality, while staying true to what defines Chopard: craftsmanship, creativity, and responsibility.”

A Collection of Technical Marvels

The pieces are a striking dialogue between geometry and fluidity. Inspired by a city skyline, the designs employ cubes of varying height to create sculptural bracelets, brooches, and a centerpiece necklace. The maison’s artisans in Geneva overcame the demanding challenge of polishing and setting diamonds across uneven surfaces—an achievement requiring rare technical mastery.

“Our artisans have developed techniques allowing golden cubes to form a flexible mesh that moves with the body while retaining sculptural integrity. It is a fusion of engineering and artistry, where every facet reflects light spectacularly,” Scheufele explained.

At the heart of the capsule lies a modular necklace composed of nine articulated rows of cubes in rose and white ethical gold. Its innovative design allows sections to be detached in sets of three, offering versatility from dramatic grandeur to understated elegance. The interplay of mirror-polished surfaces and diamond-pavé cubes, arranged in rhythmic sequences, evokes both movement and luminosity—a true testament to Chopard’s savoir-faire.

Bella Hadid: A Modern Muse

Since 2024, Bella Hadid has embodied the Ice Cube spirit as the face of the Sculpted by Light campaign. In its latest chapter, captured by Charlotte Wales, Hadid wears the new high jewelry creations against New York’s skyline.

“She is bold, elegant, and effortlessly modern,” Scheufele said of the ambassador. “Her authenticity and values—strength, kindness, and intelligence—make her the perfect representation of who we are as a maison. She connects naturally with younger generations, showing how our creations can be timeless yet deeply personal.”

A Global Maison, a U.S. Milestone

Bringing the collection to New York reflects Chopard’s recognition of the U.S. as one of its most dynamic markets. “The U.S. remains central to us. We have built lasting relationships with a discerning and diverse clientele here, and it continues to inspire and challenge us to innovate,” Scheufele noted.

She also underlined Chopard’s international outlook: “From the beginning, my parents made the conscious decision not to focus on a single market. This global vision has ensured our balance and independence, shaping our identity as an international maison connected to clients across continents.”

With the Ice Cube high jewelry collection, Chopard reaffirms its ability to combine architectural boldness with sustainable luxury—illuminating the future of haute joaillerie while remaining faithful to its heritage.
