A Creative Homage to an Iconic Landmark

French luxury footwear house J.M. Weston unveiled a capsule collection in collaboration with the Paris Opera to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Palais Garnier, one of the world's most celebrated opera houses. The collection was revealed during an exclusive event held in a historic reception room behind the stage of the Palais Garnier, a space steeped in cultural grandeur synonymous with the opera's legacy.

The collection, designed by Olivier Saillard, artistic, and culture director of J.M. Weston features exquisite show designs and two envelope clutches. These creations draw inspiration from the architectural and artistic motifs of the Palais Garnier, blending the heritage of two institutions rooted in French craftsmanship and culture.

The collaboration mirrors the shared commitment to preserving heritage and excellence. Martin Ajdari, deputy director of the Paris Opera, highlighted the synergy between the two institutions:

"Between wigmakers, dressmakers, painters, sculptors, and craftspeople, the Paris Opera sustains a legacy of over a dozen unique professions across its iconic sites. This partnership with J.M. Weston embodies a dynamic dialogue between tradition and innovation, celebrating a modern vision of elegance".

J.M. Weston's president, Marc Durie, echoed this sentiment, nothing that the shoemaker's Limoges workshop, founded in 1891, aligns with the opera's dedication to artistry.
